Cumberland Presbyterians
The Cumberland Presbyterian Church is a conservative church that was established in 1810 in Dickson County, Tennessee. We hold the basic doctrines of the Lordship of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the infallibility of the Holy Scripture a the Word of God. To become a member of the church, the following affirmations must be made:
- That the Bible is the inspired Word of God, the source of authority for faith and practice.
- That Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior and Lord of one' s life.
- That a faithful participation in the activities and worship of the church is a duty of every Christian.
- That one should love and live at peace with their brethren in the church.
- That every Christian should be a good steward of life, talents, time, and resources.
