CHURCH STAFF
We are saddened in the
recent loss our our beloved pastor, Dr. Craig Martindale. We
have many wonderful memories of his devotion to us and to this church.
He will be greatly missed. He served this church as pastor for
many years and we continue to marvel at his influence to us as
members and to his godly influence to others throughout this state.
Please continue to pray for Dr. Martindale's family and for this church
as we mourn his loss.
Reverend Dr. Rebecca Salisbury - Pastor
The Reverend Dr. Rebecca Salisbury is our current pastor. She is serving the church in a supply capacity and is assuming all pastoral responsibilities as outlined by the CPC Constitution; she will serve in this capacity until Murfreesboro Presbytery installs our permanent pastor. Dr. Rebecca is a lifelong Cumberland Presbyterian; she is a third generation Cumberland Presbyterian pastor on her father's side and a sixth generation Cumberland Presbyterian on her mother's side. Her father, Rev. A. D. Salisbury, served as pastor of First Cumberland in the 1960's. Dr. Salisbury holds an undergraduate degree, two graduate degrees and is ordained in The Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She has served our denomination at all levels and on various boards and agencies. She has pastored churches in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Texas. Dr. Rebecca comments concerning this time in the history of our church: "While we would not have chosen these circumstances for our current work, we trust God in all things having to do with the church universal and the church particular. God has already chosen a pastoral leader for us and through prayer and patience we will find that person. God does, indeed, work in mysterious ways, His wonders to perform. We trust and obey where God leads because as followers of Christ Jesus, we truly want for ourselves what God wants for us. May we experience the joy that is ours in adventuring with God."
Mrs. Cindy Lamb - Children's Ministry and Music
Cindy Lamb (Ms. Cindy)
leads our church by ministering to our children, our youth and by
serving as our choir director. She has 20 years of experience working with children and youth and has established great relationships with our young people. Her leadership with
the choir has also been a blessing. We are all dedicated to our
children and youth since we know they are the future of our church.

Mrs. Trish Decker - Church Secretary
Trish
runs the day-to-day operations of our church. Her pleasant and
friendly personality provide a great working relationship among our
church members, our church staff and aids us in our communications with
the outside public. She worked for the Tennessee Governor's School
for the Arts at MTSU for many years. FCPC is proud to have her as our
vital link with the Murfreesboro community. Click

Mr. Keith Brown - Keyboardist
Keith Brown has provided his skills as our talented pianist and organist
since 1999. His special blend of musical skills and dedication to
his responsibilities have aided our choir and the congregation in our
worship experiences by providing us all with beautiful and reverential
music each Sunday.
Mr. Clyde McClaran - Sunday School Director
As Sunday School Director, Clyde has many responsibilities. He
aids visitors and members in locating the right Sunday School class; he
provides encouragement for the Sunday school teachers and works
tirelessly in helping our Sunday school departments grow numerically as
well as spiritually. He will be happy to hear from you and answer

Mrs. Debbie Sutherland - Treasurer
Debbie is responsible for the financial accounts at First Cumberland church. Her responsibilities include maintaining the financial records of the church and keeping church members informed regarding all church financial matters. She assists the Session in the preparation of the church budget. She is a professional accountant, and the church is truly blessed by her service.
Mrs. Mary Healey - Clerk of Session
Mrs. Mary has served as Clerk of Session for the past eleven years.
She has been a member of First Cumberland for over fifty years, served
as church secretary for twenty years and continues to be a very active
member of the Sanctuary and Chancel Bell Choir. She is certainly
knowledgeable about First Cumberland and is one of our many treasured
members!
